TRANSPORT IN PLANTS

Most living organisms need a transport system to carry substances such as food and water, throughout their bodies.

Vertebrates have a circulary system consisting of a pump (the heart) and blood vessels.
Flowering plants have two separate transport systems: xylem and phloem.
